Yes, that’s my hand in the photo😊

We are thrilled to be part of this project at the RSN Embroidery Studio. The new stage curtains will be unveiled at the Royal Opera House in May 2026.

The royal cypher is designed by Tim Noad MBE.

I loved reading this wonderful book - May Morris D I loved reading this wonderful book - May Morris Designs by Lynn Hulse (Ashmolean Museum 2025). Dr Lynn Hulse is an expert on May Morris, and you can learn a lot about her and history of art embroidery. At the back of the book, you’ll find some May Morris’s patterns for you to enjoy embroidery of your own.

I feel very privileged to be involved in the ‘RSN Embroider Your Own Pouch’. This embroidery kit is available now at the Ashmolean Museum shop and the RSN shop.

Hope you enjoy stitching a May Morris Design!

Once a week, I volunteer at St Paul’s Cathedral in Once a week, I volunteer at St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

Broderers at St Paul’s Cathedral are taking part in the Worshipful Company of Upholders 400th Charter Anniversary project ‘Circle of Life’ with other cathedral broderer groups around the country. The design by Aidan Hart; the project management by Royal School of Needlework.

I feel honoured to be involved in two different ways: one as a member of the RSN Embroidery Studio team, and the other as a member of the Broderers team at St Paul’s Cathedral.

My fellow stitchers at St Paul’s Cathedral and I have been working on this panel depicting Great Fire of London. Now that the flames are stitched, I think it is coming along nicely. We still need to stitch outlines as well as Embankment and River Thames.
