Happy New Year!

I just started to work on a Goldwork piece. This is the design I’ve been longing to embroider. The design of three motifs – the pomegranate, the crown and the fleur de lys – is from RSN (Royal School of Needlework) Collection.

In Goldwork (RSN Essential Stitch Guides) by Helen McCook, you can see photos of these motifs on pages 55, 56 and 60.

Felt padding. I’m using very short pins from a Japanese company called KINKAME.

Just finished felt padding. Three layers for the pomegranate; two layers for the crown.
